Dome Mountain is an underground gold and silver mine located outside Smithers, British Columbia. The mine restart was formally approved in 2025 and involves transporting ore offsite to a processing facility in B.C. Effluent generated from mining activities will require treatment prior to discharge.
The project is located within the Traditional Territory of the Lake Babine First Nation (LBN). Source has supported both LBN and the proponent by providing technical expertise and leading the joint Mines Act/Environmental Management Act application review process.
Source has provided expertise to LBN and the proponent, Blue Lagoon Resources Inc during the joint application process. Our review focused on the water treatment, aquatic effects monitoring, and closure strategy.
