The Cariboo Gold Project is an underground gold mine under development near Wells, British Columbia. It is a complex project involving both brownfield and greenfield mining areas. Ore will be processed off site, with tailings disposal also occurring at an off-site location. The Project received its Mines Act and Environmental Management Act permits in 2024.
Source worked with Xatśūll First Nation and Williams Lake First Nation throughout the Joint Mines Act and Environmental Management Act permitting process, with a primary review focus on water quality. Following receipt of the permits, Source continues to support both Nations through ongoing review of management plans, permit amendments, and oversight of environmental incidents.
