Nadia Joe, M.Sc.

Nadia brings a diverse range of experience in water and wastewater management and water and watershed governance. As a researcher in Australia, she investigated nutrient removal and methane capture and reuse from municipal wastewater. She also brings several years experience researching water resource management within the context of Aboriginal rights and title.  Through extensive work with indigenous communities, she understands the need for and value in blending research methods to integrate indigenous knowledge and traditional laws into the existing regulatory frameworks.  With significant experience building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, local governments and indigenous communities, Nadia brings a high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity to the needs of local and indigenous communities and can offer unique insights into the challenges of managing water resources.
